Welcome to Boutique Hotel BijBlauw. By booking with us, you  agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and 

conditions. Please read these terms carefully.

1. Booking and confirmation

Reservation: Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation email from Boutique Hotel BijBlauw. A valid credit card or pre-payment is required to secure your booking.

Payment terms: All rates are quoted in USD unless otherwise specified. Prices include room accommodation, but do not cover taxes (omzet belasting 7%) and any additional charges.

Deposit policy: A deposit may be required at the time of booking, depending on the rate plan. The deposit is generally non-refundable unless stated otherwise in your booking confirmation.

2. Check-in and check-out

Check-In: Starts at 2:00 PM. Early check-ins may be accommodated upon request but are subject to availability and do incur additional charges.

Check-Out: Is at 10:00 AM. However, if you are a BijBlauw friend you can check out at noon. Late check-outs may be available upon request and are subject to availability. Late check-out fees do apply.

Identification: Valid photo ID and a credit card matching the name on the reservation are required at check-in.

3. BijBlauw Fixed rates 

The hotel is authorized to charge 100% of the total stay amount to your credit card at any time after booking. Please note that the charged credit card must be presented at check-in.

Cancellation policy: With a non-refundable rate, you cannot change or cancel your stay. We recommend that you always take out travel and/or cancellation insurance for unforeseen events. If you booked through a travel agency or online travel agency (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia.com, Hotels.com), you must cancel or modify your booking via the agency used to make the reservation.

No-Show policy: If you fail to check in on the arrival date of your reservation, you will be charged 100% of your booking

Force Majeure and unforeseen circumstances: Boutique Hotel BijBlauw is not responsible for cancellations, modifications, or inability to provide services due to events beyond its control. These include but are not limited to natural disasters, health emergencies, government restrictions, strikes, or extreme weather. In such cases, the hotel reserves the right to offer alternative arrangements or reschedule bookings, subject to availability.

4. BijBlauw Flexible rates 

The hotel is authorized to charge 50% of the total stay amount to your credit card at any time after booking. Please note that the charged credit card must be presented at check-in.

Cancellation policy: With a refundable rate, you can modify or cancel your reservation free of charge up until 2:00 PM the day before arrival (24 hours before check-in). Cancellations after 2:00 PM on the day before arrival are charged in full. Cancellations are only accepted in writing. We recommend that you always take out travel and/or cancellation insurance for unforeseen events. Refunds for pre-paid charges are generally processed within 3 business days of your request to cancel or modify your booking. If you booked through a travel agency or online travel agency (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia.com, Hotels.com), you must cancel or modify your booking via the agency used to make the reservation.

No-Show Policy: If you fail to check in on the arrival date of your reservation, you will be charged 100% of your booking

5. Children and extra beds

Children Policy:  Minors under the age of 18 years and younger need to be accompanied by a parent. 

Extra Beds:  Baby cribs are available upon request and must be confirmed by the hotel in advance. A baby crib is USD 25 per stay.

6. Pet policy

Pets are not permitted in the hotel.

7. Smoking and drug policy

Non-Smoking policy: Boutique Hotel BijBlauw is a non-smoking property. Smoking is strictly prohibited. The hotel, including all rooms and apartments, is non-smoking. If smoking is detected in your room or public areas, management reserves the right to take appropriate action. A cleaning charge of USD 200 will be applied per incident.

Drug use: The possession, use, or distribution of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited on hotel property. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate eviction without a refund, and authorities may be contacted where necessary.​

 

8. Wi-Fi and internet access

Wi-Fi access: Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for guests in all rooms and common areas. While we strive to provide consistent and high-quality connectivity, internet access may be limited due to technical or service provider issues. The hotel is not responsible for any service interruptions or speed limitations.

9. Photography and video

Personal use: Guests are welcome to take photographs and videos for personal use. Please respect the privacy of other guests and refrain from photographing individuals without permission.

Commercial use: Photography or videography for commercial purposes is not permitted without prior approval from hotel management. This includes photo shoots, media projects, and content for blogs or social media with a promotional focus. Contact the hotel via marketing@bijblauw.com in advance to discuss any requests for professional media use.

Drones: The use of drones on hotel property is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the management via marketing@bijblauw.com

10. Damage and loss

Guest responsibility: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to hotel property during their stay, including damages caused by guests' invitees. Damages will be charged to the guest’s account.

Lost items: Boutique Hotel BijBlauw is not responsible for personal items left behind. Any items found will be held for 3 months and may be shipped back to the guest at their expense upon request.

11. Privacy and data protection

Personal information: We are committed to protecting guests' personal information and will only use it in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your data will be used for reservation management, communication, and improving our services.

12. Limitation of liability

Boutique Hotel BijBlauw is not liable for injury, theft, or damages to guests' property except as required by law. We recommend that guests secure their valuables.

The hotel is also not responsible for inconvenience or failure to provide services if such failure results from circumstances beyond its control.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Curaçao, and any disputes shall be settled in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located.
