Ten years of BijBlauw magic! This week, we raise a glass to a decade filled with unforgettable moments, hard work paying off and the incredible journey that brought us here.
The Origin Story:
We are Ruud and Titia, the heart and soul behind BijBlauw. Our adventure began in 2003 when we left the Netherlands for Villereal, France, to revitalize the Les Ormes campsite. Ten seasons of dedication and innovation later, we craved a new challenge. Enter Curaçao – a place we had fallen in love with during holiday getaways. Two charming buildings in Pietermaai caught our eye, and after an abundance of effort, BijBlauw became a reality on December 12, 2013.
A Decade of Growth:
Fast forward to today, and our love for BijBlauw has only deepened. Positive feedback from our incredible guests fills our hearts, motivating us to deliver even more exceptional experiences. In 2018, we added 3 extra beautiful rooms to our collection and last October we opened our airconditioned ‘boutique café meets concept store’, showcasing not only delicious (mostly non-carb) dishes, great coffees and cocktails but we also still sell beautiful jewelry and home décor with unique stories. And did you know we also sell our tables and cupboards.

As we look ahead, our goal is to continuously enhance our haven and, most importantly, continue doing what we do best – making you feel at home, even when far away from home.
